Last month, Focus joined valued clients Fifield and Terraco to celebrate the groundbreaking of their newest 3rd party general contracting project Logan Crossing.
Located in Logan Square, Logan Crossing is built on the site of the former Mega Mall flea market. The mixed-use development will include 220 apartments and 62,000 square feet of retail, with a Target as its most prominent tenant. The new development’s amenities make it second to none, including a sun deck with a pool, grilling stations, dog run, and a bocce ball court, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center and a dedicated co-working space.
The project includes two mixed-use buildings connected by a steel and glass pedestrian bridge spanning across the center drive aisle between. Constructed with structural steed podiums and cold form metal framing, the exterior will include a mix of brick veneer and metal panels.
Focus was selected as the GC for Logan Crossing due to a unique approach to preconstruction through which the team was able to add more value for the project. Focus’ contributions in collaboration with the Antunovich architectural team, and the development teams, assisted in making this project possible.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the Logan Crossing team”, said Focus Vice President of Construction Josh Stark, “the changes coming to the old Mega Mall site represent a huge revitalization for the neighborhood and we are excited to do our part in bringing new opportunities to the community”. Logan's Crossing is a large development project combining multifamily apartments and first-floor retail stores.
