Focus is a leading office contractor in the Chicago area – bringing innovative interior construction methodologies to workplaces in Chicago. Here we’ll discuss everything you need to know about office contractors and how they can help your business:
An interior office contractor is a general contractor that specializes in the build-out of the interior of an office space. Interior contractors are typically different from the general contractor who constructs the core building. Instead of building the exterior and frame of the building, they build-out the interiors of the office buildings throughout the city based on the design laid out by the tenant or owner.
Specialized interior contractors steward the architect’s design through the construction of the interior space. Overall interior contractors oversee the build-out what the architect has designed and the technical process to physically develop the design. Focus offers 3rd party general contracting services for both interior and traditional building construction.
Office contractors’ main priority is to organize, advise, and oversee the technical construction process of interior construction. By hiring an interior contractor, you’ll be able to create a unique space that represents your brand and exemplifies your company’s value.
Office contractors will take your interior construction, renovation, or value add project from start to finish. Whether you’re looking to completely redesign your office space or add a few structural changes, office contractors are specialized in constructing optimized office solutions.
In 2018, Focus partnered with Kaplan Saunders Valente Beninati to completely renovate their office interiors. The renovation took place at their longtime home in Chicago’s Near North neighborhood. As a law firm, the renovation needed to exhibit professionalism but also incorporate a bit of inventive design.
The renovation consisted of lighting upgrades to the entire 12,500 SF office, removal and replacement of carpet throughout the entire interior, and repainting of private offices and community spaces. All renovations were completed while the office was fully operational. The majority of work was completed after regular work hours. The entirety of the completed in phases over several weeks.
This project is just one of many examples of how office contractors can add value to your existing office. If you’re looking to add additional value to your office, reach out to Focus today!
