At the soon to be completed Focus project, Porter art is central to the personality of the boutique, service-forward multifamily community in Oak Park, Illinois. Curated with the help of Johalla Projects, the custom art collection brings the unique spaces of Porter to life. It aims to enliven everyday space with contemporary art and elevate interiors with cultural engagement.
Porter is a thoughtfully curated space that reflects the innovative art community across Chicago. Including the bike room, where Chicago artist Alyssa Low created a maximal mural that is charged with momentum, arching forms, crisp lines and electric colors. A visual inspiration to grab your bike and get moving, Low's mural activates the space with kinetic energy.
Porter is very near to completion, expecting its final certificate of occupancy and its first residents in the coming weeks. The 7-story apartment community is situated at the center of the Oak Park Historic District and looks out across the iconic Mills Park. The building includes 159 units, with a mis of studio, 1- and 2- bedroom apartments as well as ultra-luxe, ground floor mainsonette units – a townhome inspired product with private entries along Marion Street. Amenities further express the projects personality including the one of a kind Recording Room, a secret music room where tenants can listen and record their own music. Other amenities include multiple coworking spaces, a resident lounge, a third floor courtyard terrace and fitness studio.
