As Senior Estimator
- Responsible for preparing estimates from conceptual design to GMP phase for all construction projects.
- Identifies all components of project scope, including those not identified in documents but required for a complete project, to control costs from early design phases.
- Analyzes document throughout design process and provides a summary of cost changes for each design milestone.
- Provides cost evaluation of specific construction assemblies or systems, such as structure type or HVAC system, to allow for selection of the most valuable solution for the project.
- Responsible for bid strategy & all estimate deliverables.
- Manages subcontractor bid solicitation and response to ensure all projects receive current pricing from the marketplace.
- Creates detailed scopes of work, identifies qualified subcontractors and negotiates final contract price including trades that require early project involvement due to long lead times or design-build responsibility.
- Maintains a historical project cost database and tracks cost trends.
