Progress continues on the first phase of redevelopment at Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, IL.
In March, teams continued framing the residential portions of the project, specifically the amenity courtyard where in the future residents will enjoy time relaxing by the pool. Portions of the roof are now complete and as such the MEPs, insulation and drywall work has commenced as well.
Additionally, the Hawthorn Row namesake is clearly visible. The main street style thoroughfare is now clearly framed by the residential and retail developments on either side, connected by a pedestrian bridge which teams installed last month. Teams poured the concrete slab between the retail and residential portions of building 1 and the installation of precast planks continues on building 2.
