13 November 2018

On Thursday October 18th, Focus was joined by our co-developer Atlantic Realty Partners and Mellody Farm retail developer Regency Centers along with officials from Vernon Hills, residents and neighbors to celebrate the grand opening of the new 260 apartment community, the Atworth at Mellody Farm.

Specialty Drinks and Tasty Treats

The event took place throughout the amenity spaces at the Atworth. Specialty drinks, like apple cider sangria were served from the private dining space aptly named the Tasting Room and guests built their own caramel apples and roasted s'mores around the fire in the Courtyard. In the Conservatory, guests enjoyed live music and sampled tasty bites like smoked brisket tacos and mac & cheese and challenged each other to games of pool and shuffleboard in the Game Loft.

A Celebration of Teamwork

To kick things off, key stakeholders from the project team and the Village of Vernon Hills joined in a

ribbon cutting and a toast to the new community. Vernon Hills Mayor, Roger Byrne complimented members from the Focus, Atlantic Realty Partners and Regency teams on a vision succesSFully delivered. “We are excited to be a part of the beautiful Vernon Hills community”, said Focus CEO Tim Anderson, “The Atworth is a testament to the faith of the city’s Mayor Byrne and the Board of Trustees at Focus, ARP and Regency, and in our vision to create a one-of-a-kind, walkable, retail and residential environment in a suburban neighborhood. One of Focus’ driving principals is to always positively shape experiences through enhanced community and we believe we have delivered on the vision here at the Atworth.”

The Atworth is a 7-acre residential project featuring just over 200 luxury apartment homes. Offering high quality interior finishes, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry the Atworth also boasts a superior amenity package including an outdoor swimming pool with terrace and sundeck, and a fitness and yoga studio. These features, in addition to being a part of the larger Mellody Farm retail center, have driven leasing efforts onsite and the Atworth is already nearly 50% leased.
