Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant Group announced a new venture set to open this spring. The Oakville Grill & Cellar, which "aims to bring the ethos of Napa Valley" to Fulton Market, will occupy two floors at 163 N. Green St.
The Oakville Grill & Cellar seeks to translate the vibe of a West Coast winery experience to one that can be enjoyed in the Midwest with an "exclusive California wine list in Chicago" that features 750 wine selections.
The restaurant is a collaboration between Max Robbins, executive chef at Longman & Eagle, and wine director Richard Hanauer, who is a partner at RPM Restaurants — another Lettuce Entertain You venture.
"The Oakville Grill & Cellar combines northern California's charm with Chicago's classic neighborhood dining," Robbins said in a statement. "Our team celebrates these two regions with approachable and uncomplicated cooking alongside a fantastic wine program. From light and crispy buttermilk fried chicken to coal-roasted salmon with stone ground grits and ramps, the menu highlights thoughtful and familiar plates alongside seafood, oak wood grilled and vegetable dishes."
