Focus is committed to partnerships in the communities where we work, a culture that extends beyond on our own properties.
That stewardship was at the heart of a recent visit to the construction site of the future McCrory Senior Apartments in the near west-side, where Focus CEO, Tim Anderson met with Alderman Walter Burnett and leaders from the community to tour the development.
The visit followed a $40,000 donation by Focus to the affordable housing project as part of the company’s growing involvement in the City’s West Loop and continued dedication to local support in the communities where it has completed projects.
The project is a joint venture between Brinshore Development and the nearby First Baptist Congregational Church, that will tranSForm what was once vacant lot into 62 new, affordable homes for seniors, while also creating jobs and opportunity in Chicago’s Near West Side. Built by local General Contractor, Powers and Sons Construction and designed by Landon Bone Baker Architects, the senior housing building will also include a community room, fitness center, theater space, outdoor patio and an exam room for routine check-ups.
“It is exciting to see the progress of such an impactful project,” said Anderson, “We are thrilled to be involved as a charitable donor and look forward to participating in similar opportunities to better the community in the future.”
