Focus Volunteers with Feed My Starving Children

28 February 2017

On November 29, Focus team members from all departments gathered together to celebrate the start of the holiday season with a volunteer outing to benefit Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville, IL. Feed My Starving Children strives to eliminate starvation in children throughout the world by providing pre-packaged meals dense in protein, vitamins, and minerals. The meals are packaged, boxed, and shipped out by volunteers in Illinois, Minnesota, and Arizona.

Along with other volunteers, Focus employees packed 14,904 meals in 90 minutes, enough to feed 40 children for one year. “I loved volunteering with Feed My Starving Children because we could see the fruits of our labor at the end of the process. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that the food you packed with your own hands will get into the hands of the children who need it most,” said Focus employee, Jessica Stelzer.
