Since breaking ground, Focus’ development 167 Green Street has come a long way. The bustling West Loop area is about to be home to a new luxury office building.
Located just across the street from a previous Focus joint venture, The Parker, 167 Green Street will be an unparalleled development. This 17-floor office building will be home to a list of luxury amenities.
Here is a quick update of the progress of this project:
Focus and development partners, Shapack Partners, broke ground at 167 Green Street in April of 2019. An elaborate ceremony kicked off the development. Focus was joined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Alderman Burnett, Shapack Partners, Walton Street Capital, and the architect on the project, Gensler.
Focus is in collaboration with Shapack Partners and Walton Street Capitol to bring this exciting project to life. Since breaking ground in April, 167 Green Street has continued to meet goals and deadlines making it one of the most anticipated developments of 2019 and 2020.
167 Green Street will be home to 30,270 SF of retail space making it a resourceful mixed-use development in the heart of the Fulton Market district.
With the goal to enhance this community as more pedestrian-friendly and create a more public space, 167 Green Street will feature a large public walkway with access to small parks, restaurants, green space, and a variety of storefronts. This area, which is called “The Mews” will make it easier for not only office residents of this building, but neighbors who have access to the internal retail shops, furthermore, promoting a strong community. “The Mews’ will connect Green and Halsted streets, creating a safer pedestrian walkway for this busy area.
Large companies are already signed to rent space within the development. One of the biggest names in coworking, WeWork, is already set to occupy 140,000 SF of space within the building. A number of additional notable companies are set to make 167 Green Street their new home.
167 Green Street is running on schedule with construction set to wrap in summer of 2020. This development will feature stunning 46,000 SF floor plates and glass windows on all sides of every office throughout the building. At any point throughout an office, residents will never be more than 60 feet from natural light.
