In the summer of 2017, Focus moved its offices from Northfield to the Loop in Downtown Chicago, selecting the 21st floor at 100 S. Wacker for its new home. The 9,000 SF space overlooks West Monroe from Wacker to the Chicago River, offering corner-to-corner views in the heart of downtown. Floor-to-ceiling windows, glass offices and an open floor plan create a spacious and light environment. Focus’ office suite features a private elevator entrance that opens to a spacious reception and pantry area, which often acts a gathering spot for employees. Employees share custom work benches that foster relaxed and open communication while status lights on each monitor allow employees to signal when they are unavailable to chat. Adjacent conference and huddle rooms provide more privacy and include all the latest in tech gadgets to encourage collaboration and efficiency. Focus’ culture is embedded into the space with a custom gallery wall featuring artwork based on its values and portfolio of work. Blending its expertise as a developer and general contractor, the Focus office space was a true passion project. Internal team of architects and designers worked with project architect Partners by Design, and Focus’ own team of construction professionals managed the interior buildout.
