As Vice President, Development

Lauren is leading the redevelopment of portions of Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, IL. The project, which transforms 150,000 SF of existing retail space into outward facing shops with two landscaped plazas requires expert execution. The work includes negotiations of entitlements, managing design consultants, revisions to and existing TIF structure, and maintaining positive relationships with development and municipal partners. 

• Autonomously lead multiple and/or complex real estate development projects from inception to completion.
• Act autonomously as Owner’s Representative through construction, operations, and disposition.
• Participate in investment analysis of potential projects and acquisitions.
• Oversee projects through each stage of entitlements and permitting.
• Collaborate with the Focus construction team to ensure timely delivery and superior quality.
• Lead a team of consultants from project inception through design development drawings.

Industry Expertise

• Complicated mixed-use, retail, and commercial projects including complicated REA negotiations, deal terms, tax credit incentives and more.
• Experience leading major, $100M+ development projects.
• Adept municipal relationship manager.
