Concerning Covid-19

17 March 2020

To our valued clients and partners:

As you are aware the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak has affected many areas of the world including everyone here in Chicago. Per the guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health, we are notifying you that as of March 16, 2020 Focus’ corporate office staff will be working remotely until further notice.

The leadership team at Focus has developed a plan for operating our offices remotely over the next two weeks to address the current health emergency and to ensure that we remain committed to the quality of work we strive to provide. Although our physical office is closed, we are still open for business and will work to provide you the same high-level services you are accustomed to, communicating routinely by phone, email and video conferencing.

Our most important concern is the health and welfare of each of our employees, their families and the well-being of our clients and partners.

The actions outlined below are intended to do all that we can to ensure the safest possible work environment for everyone:

  • Starting Monday, March 16th, all Focus corporate office staff will be working from home indefinitely.
  • On-site field offices will remain open and actively staffed, however we are limiting non-essential site visits in order to curb virus exposure. We ask that all visitors call the Project Manager in advance in order to request a site visit.
  • All of our employees are available at all times to communicate remotely, all meetings should be held via phone or teleconference and Focus employees are prepared to set-up such digital meetings.

We anticipate this plan to be in place until the end of March at least. We plan to revaluate our plan at the end of March at which point we will share any changes. We are committed to remaining as productive as possible during this difficult time and aim to deliver on all of our deadlines and deliverables. The firm will be constantly monitoring and re-evaluating this developing situation. Please feel free to call any of us if you have any questions related to your particular projects.

Thank you and stay safe.
