Progress continues on the reimagining of Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, IL.
Building one is nearing completion as teams work to finalize install of the retail and residential facade. Inside progress continues as well, with interior construction underway in the amenity spaces and delivery of the first 23 of 311 luxury residences.
Building two isn't far behind with framing of the 3rd and half of the 4th floor complete, interior MEP work has begun.
Lastly, site work has commenced on the residential courtyard and the iconic Hawthorn Row has started to take shape.
The Domaine at Hawthorn Mall is only the first in a multiphase reimagining of the historic Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hill, Illinois. To ensure another 50 years of success for the important community center, Focus and its partners set to reimagine the mall as a "mini-city". By adding a variety of uses to the site, removing interior mall space, right-sizing retail, and add walkable community spaces, the future of Hawthorn is bright. The first phase of construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023 with future phases to follow.
