71 Wacker, Irvine Company Regional Office

Focus completed the buildout of the Irvine Company’s Chicago offices located on the 30^th floor of the 71 Wacker building in Chicago’s Loop. The 4,500 SF space offers an open floorplan featuring perimeter offices surrounded with glass, granting the entire space access to an incredible view of the Chicago skyline. The offices boast a large social space, multiple conference rooms with video conferencing capabilities, wellness room and several break away collaborative spaces. The space includes a mobile green wall system which acts as a room divider and an indoor air purifying system. Sound levels between offices, conference rooms and open spaces was the most important factor on this project and to address the sound concerns posed by ownership, focus used a glass wall system called Muraflex. The Muraflex system features a STC rating of 52 which is a higher rating than the standard drywall partitions and ensured that noise levels between offices would be kept to a minimum. The project was turned over 1 week ahead of schedule.
